Galaxies from a balcony
1 of 11 captured, 4 gathering light, 6 ahead; 22 h 50 min of light over 19 nights in total.
Galaxies are the hardest class for a city balcony. They shine across the whole spectrum, so a filter does not help: light pollution and signal arrive together. Most have very low surface brightness, and what a dark sky shows in an hour takes five or eight here.
So this page has many honest "ahead" entries and a few frames where the galaxy is barely more than a hint. That is deliberate: to show what a small telescope and a city really give, not only the lucky exceptions.
